Account and settings
Settings opens from your avatar at the bottom of the icon rail. Some of what is in there is not wired up yet, and this page says which.
What is in there

Settings that do not do anything yet
Worth knowing so you do not set them and expect a change.
- Capabilities toggles
- The switches for LaTeX rendering, sequence visualisation, inline citations, extended thinking, primer tools, BLAST integration, plasmid maps, developer mode and experimental features are saved in your browser but are not read by anything. Flipping them changes nothing.
- Most General preferences
- Your preferred name, work function, free-text preferences and the notification switches are stored locally and are not currently used. Your full name does save properly.
- The Webhooks section
- Opens to a blank pane in the overlay.
- Theme
- There is no theme switcher on the dashboard in production — it is fixed. The marketing site does follow a theme preference.
Your account
What works properly
Changing your name, email and password; seeing and revoking active sessions; signing out of every device at once; and copying your user ID, which is what support will ask for.
Deleting your account
The delete button is disabled while you hold a subscription — cancel it in Billing first, then delete. If you need your data removed and are stuck, write to us and we will handle it.
Plans and billing
Billing runs through Stripe. From the Billing section you can change plan, update your payment method, view invoices and cancel.

Current prices and allowances are on the pricing page — they change, and this page would go stale. Usage limits explains how the allowance is counted.
Researcher verification
Linking an ORCID iD and verifying your email marks you as a named researcher. It is worth doing if you plan to share projects or publish links, since it tells collaborators who they are working with.
API keys
There is no API key management, because there are no API keys yet. Programmatic access uses a bearer token you request at the time — Programmatic access explains how.
The only key you can enter anywhere in settings is your Benchling key, which is Benchling's, not ours.
